• Child Protection Legislation
Bermuda has recently passed amendments to the criminal code relating to child protection, specifically designed to prohibit the making and distribution of child pornography as well as grooming and luring over the internet. The Act is expected to come into force in the near future.
• Internet Providers Industry Code Of Practice
The Internet Service Providers (ISPs), the Cell Phone Carriers in Bermuda, along with the Department of E-Commerce, have developed a Code Of Industry Practice. As the Internet Service Providers and Cell Phone carriers take online safety very seriously, they have taken proactive action and established a Code of Practice or Ethics which sets standards for the Industry.
