Welcome to Cybertips, Bermuda’s source of information on internet safety, brought to you by the Ministry of Energy, Telecommunications & E-Commerce. Our aim is to provide practical tips, resources and contact information to help parents, children and educators to use the Internet safely and be on guard against online predators and other inappropriate online content.

By knowing the dangers and how to avoid them, you can take advantage of all the positive aspects of the Internet while avoiding most of its pitfalls.

The Ministry of Energy, Telecommunications and E-Commerce (METEC) is partnering with Hector’s World to bring innovative and media rich educational tools to Bermuda as a part of their ongoing initiative to promote child safety.

As Hector’s World has many resources for teachers, including lesson plans, activities, etc., METEC is happy to make these resources available to the Ministry of Education and related parent groups. Please use the link to the right to access Hector's World.

Bermuda Government signs new agreement with Microsoft Corporation for continued use of Online Safety Materials.

Minister of Energy, Telecommunications and E-Commerce (METEC), the Hon. Michael Scott, JP, MP, signed a new agreement with the Microsoft Corporation on Friday, October 22 for the continued use of the company's online safety material.
